UFC Fight Pass International (UFC FPI) is a grappling tournament that the UFC sponsors and has some of its current and ex-UFC stars to take part in from time to time. Former welterweight and middleweight champ Georges St-Pierre is set to return to the mats at UFC FPI 6 which is scheduled to take place in Dec 2023.

GSP Lists Some Of His Potential Opponents

GSP continues to be one of the biggest names in MMA and even though he retired for the second time in 2017 after beating Michael Bisping and becoming middleweight champ, GSP has continued to train and stay in great shape, even helping to train Elon Musk in recent days.

GSP said that there are a number of big names that could turn out to be his opponent at UFC FPI 6. He told MMA media that one of the biggest names could be his former foe Nick Diaz who last competed in the UFC in 2021. GSP said Nick always had a good ground game and excellent jiu jitsu which would make him dangerous on the mat.

Given the history and animosity the two fighters had, GSP thinks this could possibly be the biggest draw should the fight get made.

Some of the other opponents that GSP said he could end up fighting included former middleweight champ Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, Michael Bisping and Conor McGregor.

Canadian Fans Want Khabib Nurmagomedov Fight

Canadian MMA fans are pushing for a grappling match between GSP and former lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov who retired undefeated in the UFC. Khabib’s late father and coach rated GSP as the most complete MMA fighter when he competed in the UFC. He said his dream was to see GSP fight Khabib but that fight never happened

Not just Canadian fans but MMA fans around the world would love to see two of the most popular UFC fighters finally test their skills on the mat as it now looks certain that they will never fight in the Octagon.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has not said anything about a potential grappling match against GSP but has teased on social media that he is preparing for something exciting!
