Summary:

  • Brandon Ingram scored 30 points and hit two late threes to stop the Indiana Pacers’ comeback.
  • Scottie Barnes added 26 points and 13 assists in a strong all-around performance.
  • The Toronto Raptors’ hot first quarter set the tone as Darko Rajakovic’s side never trailed.

The Toronto Raptors were quick to set the pace from the get-go, never letting the Indiana Pacers catch their breath and regroup on Wednesday night

Brandon Ingram shone bright with 30 points, saving his best shots for the closing minutes, as the Raptors beat the Pacers 115–101.

Third Matchup Victory

Indiana started threatening late, and Ingram managed to bury two straight three-pointers and shut the door. Scottie Barnes backed him up with a strong all-around night, finishing with 26 points and 13 assists.

The Raptors also got a big lift from Gradey Dick off the bench. He chipped in 21 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, helping Toronto complete a season sweep of Indiana with a third straight win in the matchup.

Indiana made one last push midway through the fourth quarter, trimming the deficit to 103–99 with just over four minutes to play. That was as close as it got. Brandon Ingram calmly answered on consecutive possessions from beyond the arc, and Toronto pulled away from there.

Raptors Hit 16 of 22 Shots

The NBA game was largely decided much earlier. Toronto came out firing and never trailed, opening with one of its sharpest quarters of the season.

The Raptors hit 16 of their first 22 shots, including four of five from deep, and raced to a 39–18 lead after one. Indiana struggled to keep pace, managing just six made shots on 18 attempts in the opening period.

Ingram was aggressive from the start, knocking down three of his first four shots and adding a pair of free throws during the early run. He finished the night shooting 12 of 23 from the floor. Barnes was just as active early, scoring 10 points in the first quarter while also setting up teammates.

For Indiana, Pascal Siakam led the way with 26 points and 10 rebounds, but the Pacers spent most of the night trying to dig out of the early hole.

Up next, Toronto returns home to host the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. Indiana will also be back in action Friday, welcoming New Orleans.
