RJ Barrett celebrates with Immanuel Quickley against the Philadelphia 76ers during NBA Season 2025

Summary:

  • The Toronto Raptors defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 121-112 on Wednesday.
  • The team marked its fifth consecutive win and ninth victory in 10 games.
  • Brandon Ingram and RJ Barrett each scored 22 while Immanuel Quickley hit two late threes to help seal the Raptors’ win.

The Toronto Raptors’ Brandon Ingram and RJ Barrett shone bright on Wednesday evening, carrying the scoring load with 22 points each, helping their side grab their fifth straight win after taking down the Philadelphia 76ers 121–112.

While Toronto took their time finding their rhythm in the third quarter, once they did, the game flipped fast.

Good Night for Poeltl, Quickley, and Barnes

Jakob Poeltl chipped in 19 points, and Immanuel Quickley added 18, including two big threes in the final minutes that helped the Raptors close things out.

Scottie Barnes put together another well-rounded night with 16 points, nine rebounds, and five assists.

The win pushes Toronto to nine victories in its last ten games, a run that’s been built on steady defense and some timely shooting.

Tyrese Maxey led the way for Philadelphia with 24 points, while VJ Edgecombe and Quentin Grimes each finished with 21. The Sixers went into halftime up 56–53, helped by Maxey’s strong first half, but things went downhill quickly after the break.

Raptors Entered Third Quarter with 18-7 Run

Toronto opened the third quarter with an 18–7 run, sparked by seven points from Ingram, and outscored Philadelphia 44–28 in the frame.

The difference in Toronto’s shooting was hard to miss. After going just 2-for-15 from three in the first half, the Raptors suddenly caught fire, knocking down 5-of-6 in the third. They’ve also been sharp on the road so far, improving to 7–3 away from home and 9–2 against Eastern Conference opponents.

Philadelphia continues to deal with a long list of injuries. Joel Embiid sat out for the fourth straight game due to right knee injury management, and has now missed nine of the team’s first 14 contests.

Paul George, who finally made his season debut on Monday, was given the night off to manage his own knee issue. Before tipoff, the team announced Kelly Oubre Jr. will be sidelined for at least two weeks with a sprained LCL in his left knee.

Toronto was also missing a young piece of its rotation, as rookie forward Collin Murray-Boyles sat out with right knee soreness.

Up next for the NBA teams, Raptors return home to face Washington on Friday. Whilst the 76ers head to Milwaukee on Thursday night, a tough stop for a team still trying to get healthy.
