Nuggets Defeat Raptors 128-109 Behind Jokic Triple-Double

Summary:

  • Jokic led Denver with 32 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds, recording his third triple-double of the season.
  • Rookie Bryce Hopkins scored a career-high 18 points as the Nuggets produced a dominant 41-15 third quarter.
  • RJ Barrett finished with 22 points for Toronto, which has now lost three of its last four games.

Nikola Jokic delivered another standout performance on Wednesday night, when he recorded recording 32 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds to lead the Denver Nuggets to a 128-109 victory over the Toronto Raptors.

The Serbian center registered his third triple-double of the 2026 NBA season as Denver produced its most convincing win of the campaign, overcoming a three-point halftime deficit to take control after the break.

Drajmatic Change at Halftime

Toronto had held a 67-64 advantage at halftime, but the game changed dramatically in the third quarter.

Denver outscored the Raptors 41-15 during the period, shooting 68.2% from the field and finding consistent openings inside the three-point line.

The Nuggets eventually built a 23-point advantage, leaving Toronto with too much ground to recover.

Nikola Jokic was particularly efficient, making 13 of his 19 attempts from the field and adding three steals. His performance was supported by several teammates, with six other Denver players also reaching double figures.

Rookie forward Bryce Hopkins led the supporting cast with a career-high 18 points off the bench. Aaron Gordon contributed 17 points, while Jamal Murray finished with 14 points and seven assists.

Barrett in the Lead with 22 Points

For Toronto, RJ Barrett continued his productive start to the season, leading the team with 22 points. It was the seventh time in eight appearances that he had scored at least 20.

Scottie Barnes added 17 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals, but the Raptors struggled to maintain their first-half shooting after the interval. They made just three of 15 attempts from beyond the arc in the second half.

The defeat leaves Toronto with three losses in its last four games after opening the season with a 3-1 record.

Denver, meanwhile, will look to carry its improved form into Saturday’s home game against Indiana. Toronto travels to Milwaukee on Friday.
