Namely, the crews representing Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, and Québec have remained unbeaten.

Don Bowser’s Quebec with Pamela Nugent as lead, and teammates Dan deWaard as second and Brenda Nicholls as third, is the highest-ranked team in Pool B with a 3-0 record.

On Monday, Bowser’s crew secured an 8-3 victory over Alberta’s Kurt Balderston.

The lead of the seven-team pool A is shared by Jason Ackerman’s Regina Highland Curling Club representing Saskatchewan with Colleen Ackerman as lead, Sam Wills as second, and Amber Holland as third, and Owen Purcell’s Halifax Curling Club crew from Nova Scotia, with lead Jennifer Baxter, Adam McEachren as second, and Christina Black  as third.

The two teams obtained that same 3-0 record that propelled them to the top of the pool.

Ackerman’s squad edged out Yukon’s Robert Smallwood 6-5 on Monday afternoon and followed up with a 5-2 win against Northern Ontario’s Dylan Johnston in the evening.

Meanwhile, Purcell’s Halifax team narrowly defeated Newfoundland and Labrador’s Trent Skanes, winning 5-4 in their only game of the day.
