Immanuel Quickley is listed as questionable for the Toronto Raptors’ final pre-season game against the Brooklyn Nets scheduled for Friday ahead of the new season of the NBA

The 25-year-old guard has been sidelined for the team’s first four tune-up games due to a sprained thumb

Coaching Staff Must Exercise Caution

Although Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic mentioned that Quickley has been cleared for full-contact practice and all team activities, the coaching staff is being cautious about his return to game action to avoid any potential setbacks.

The Raptors will close out their pre-season which started against the Wizards with a visit to Brooklyn on Friday before returning home to face the Cleveland Cavaliers in their season opener next Wednesday.

Quickley’s availability for these games remains uncertain, as the team continues to assess his readiness for regular-season play.

Nonetheless, the Raptors hope to have him suit up at full strength for the upcoming season, as his versatility and scoring ability have already proven to be critical to the team’s backcourt depth.

Career-Best Numbers

The Havre de Grace began last season fresh off a strong campaign where he finished second in the Sixth Man of the Year voting.

For the first 30 games, he continued in that role off the bench for the New York Knicks.

However, a midseason trade to the Toronto Raptors gave him the opportunity to step into the starting point guard role.

Over the final 38 games of the season, Immanuel Quickley posted career-best numbers, averaging 18.6 points, 6.8 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 three-pointers per game.

As a key member of the Raptors’ young core, Quickley has the potential to build on these impressive stats.

His upside suggests he could exceed last year’s performance, positioning him as a valuable asset both on the court and in fantasy basketball, where he projects as a top-60 prospect with the potential for even greater impact.

With his scoring, playmaking, and three-point shooting, Quickley’s ceiling is high as he continues to grow in his expanded role with Toronto.
