Ronaldo Scores his First Goal for Juventus F.C in only 8 minutes

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates after scoring his first goal with Juventus F.C after only eight minutes of play in first game for the Italian club

Cristiano Ronaldo did not make fans wait long as he took to the field for his first game with Juventus. In fact, they waited a mere eight minutes on Sunday before the star footballer scored his first goal during a friendly pre-season match against Juventus “B” side.

As usual, Ronaldo was poised and confident as he picked up a pass from Federico Bernardeschi. He then cushioned the ball before sending it past the goal into the left corner. Ronaldo was not done, and ten minutes later scored his second after forcing goaltender Riccardo Capellini into his own net to give his side a 2-0 lead.

Those that were in attendance for the friendly game came to watch the star at Villar Perosa. This is a rural part of Northern Italy, and many held signs welcoming the star to Juventus F.C, and one even went so far as to paint his face with CR& on it. This was meant to reference Ronaldo’s jersey number he made famous while playing with the Real Madrid.

Many fans were shocked when Ronaldo chose to join the Italian league for an estimated €112 million. In terms of Canadian dollars, that is equal to $167 million. It is expected that Ronaldo will make his debut during Juventus first regular season match on Saturday when it visits Chievo Verona.

In 2009, Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United and joined the Real Madrid. In his time at Madrid, he became the clubs all-time scorer. This included 451 goals during 438 matches, and helped the Spanish franchise to win Champions Leagues titles, with one of those being against Juventus. Ronaldo’s time with the Real Madrid also saw him helping the club twice win the Copa del Rey and the La Liga once. During the 2016 European Championship, Ronaldo helped Portugal win the title and also was on hand with Manchester when they won the Premier League three times.
