wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Oh man, that feels good to win it on U.S. soil, We owed it to them and owed it to ourselves to win that one.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, <strong>Canada has scooped up 13 gold medals at the end of 23 tournaments<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>2024 IIHF World Championship<\/strong> was the first ever to be held under the fresh <a href=\"https:\/\/www.betting.ca\/news\/professional-womens-hockey-league-signs-three-canadian-olympic-players\">Professional Women&#8217;s Hockey League<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 penalty.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The player said she was &#8220;<em>still a bit in shock<\/em>&#8220;, explaining that her goal was mostly a matter of good luck as she only attempted to &#8220;<em>take the goalie&#8217;s eyes away there<\/em>\u201d and the rebound \u201c<em>kind of popped<\/em>\u201d to her.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Captain Poulin also scored her first two goals of the tournament on Sunday, tying the game during the second period and giving her team a 5-4 lead in the third period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Head coach Ryan\u2019s decision to gradually increase the 33-year-old\u2019s minutes during the tournament proved lucrative, as the player proved to be a feisty force.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;<em>Pou will always find a way to be a difference maker<\/em>&#8220;, the head coach explained, further adding to her impact on the preliminaries and semifinal.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Julia Gosling, Emily Clark and Erin Ambrose<\/strong> also scored for the Canadian
