Barber\u2019s death was put down to medical complications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"canadian-athletes-mourn-barbers-passing\"><strong>Canadian Athletes Mourn Barber\u2019s Passing<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Barber will be remembered for his feats in pole vault as he holds the record in Canada. The <strong>5 time Canadian champion<\/strong> also holds accolades for <strong>winning the 2015 World Championship in Beijing, China<\/strong> and made it to the 2016 RIO <a href=\"https:\/\/www.betting.ca\/olympics\">Olympics<\/a> final where he finished in 10<sup>th<\/sup> place. He stopped competing back in 2020 and was living in Kingwood, Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 29 year old ended up dying at home after battling illness and suffering from medical complications. As of this writing, the <strong>exact cause of his death is not known<\/strong>.
