The UFC initially wanted the card to be headlined by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.betting.ca\/news\/will-alexander-volkanovski-be-medically-cleared-to-headline-ufc-297-in-toronto-canada\">UFC featherweight champ Alexander Volkanovski<\/a> who was set to fight Ilia Topuria. The UFC is yet to release an official statement and confirm the Main Event for UFC 297.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ufc-bantamweight-championship-title-fight\"><strong>UFC Bantamweight Championship \u2013 Title Fight<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The UFC have confirmed that the vacant bantamweight title in the women\u2019s division will be on the line at UFC 297. Former champ Juliana Pena was expected to fight <strong>Raquel Pennington<\/strong> for the belt but had to pull out due to an injury.
