This is because Hockey Canada continues to be at the center of a massive sexual assault scandal that it tried to cover up.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier this week, the the <strong>Quebec Major Junior Hockey League<\/strong> (QMJHL) faced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.betting.ca\/news\/quebec-junior-hockey-players-accused-of-sexually-assaulting-15-year-old-girl\">criticism over a sexual assault carried out by junior hockey players<\/a> that the QMJHL said it knew nothing about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hockey Canada is looking to make amends and get the focus back on hockey and that starts with the 2023 World Junior Championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2023-world-junior-championship\"><strong>2023 World Junior Championship&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.betting.ca\/news\/world-junior-hockey-championships-2023-to-be-held-in-halifax-and-moncton-despite-ongoing-hockey-canada-scandals\">2023 World Junior Championship will take place in Moncton and Halifax.<\/a> Canada has dominated the World Juniors Championship for a long time and are once again in a great spot to win their 20<sup>th<\/sup> World Juniors Champion as they have selected a really strong squad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Team Canada have released the final roster which consists of 22 players. The majority of these players (10) are from the <strong>Western Hockey League<\/strong> (WHL), 4 of them from the <strong>QMJHL<\/strong>, another 4 from the <strong>Ontario Hockey League<\/strong> (OHL), 3 players are being loaned by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.betting.ca\/hockey\/nhl\"><strong>National Hockey League<\/strong><\/a> (NHL) franchise and one player is from a US college.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2023 World Junior Championship will commence from Dec 26 and will end on Jan 5, 2023.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"team-canada-look-at-the-final-roster\"><strong>Team Canada \u2013 Look At The Final Roster&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s the dream of every young <a href=\"https:\/\/www.betting.ca\/hockey\">Canadian hockey<\/a> player to make the cut and play at the 2023 World Junior Championship. Here is a look at the 22 players that made the final roster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Defenders<\/strong>: Brandt Clarke, Nolan Allen, Ethan Del Mastro, Olen Zellweger, Kevin Korchinski, Tyson Hinds, Jack Matier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Forwards: <\/strong>Shane Wright, Caedan Bankier, Colton Dach, Adam Fantilli, Zach Dean, Nathan Gaucher, Zack Ostapchuk, Dylan Guenther, Joshua Roy, Brennan Othmann, Logan Stankoven, Reid Schaefer, Connor Bedard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Goalies<\/strong>: Thomas Milic, Benjamin Gaudreau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The key players for Team Canada will be <strong>Connor Bedard<\/strong> and <strong>Shane Wright<\/strong>. Bedard has been outstanding and is all but certain to be the first pick in the 2023 NHL entry draft.
