In a race that was expected to be a showdown between Red Bulls Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez and Ferrari\u2019s Charles Leclerc, it was Leclerc who took the one-sided win at Sunday\u2019s Australian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

The win at Melbourne was good news for Leclerc as it extended his lead in the drivers\u2019 championship by 34 points. The win was also good news for Ferrari, as it increased their prospects of winning the manufacturers\u2019 championship this season.<\/p>\n

The crowds in Melbourne were witness to a spectacular start to the race as Charles LeClerc<\/a>, who was in the pole position, held off Verstappen and defended his position mid-race after the safety car was deployed.<\/p>\n

Verstappen, who retired from the race shortly after the mid-race restart, and his Mercedes continue to struggle with power unit issues. However, Sergio Perez managed to save the day for Red Bull with a second place finish, while George Russel and Lewis Hamilton respectively placed third and fourth.<\/p>\n
