\"\" Brooke Henderson tees off the 18th hole in round two of the CP Women’s Open [\/caption]Round two at the CP Women\u2019s Open<\/a> saw the crowd interested in only one golfer, Brooke Henderson. Few noticed as Sung Hyun Park finished the day and walked down the path, even after having a remarkable day that saw her tie the Wascana Country Club record.<\/p>\n

Sung Hyun Park played with Henderson and Anna Nordqvist, the two top ladies on the tour, but for Park, it was clear who the crowds were here to see saying,<\/p>\n

“Brooke is almost like Canada\u2019s Tiger Woods. I was really surprised at how many fans came out to support Brooke today. To witness that was pretty awesome.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fans were in abundance as the bordered the fairways and greens, many dressed in red and white, some even cam with Canadian flags. They cheered when Henderson<\/a> finished her opening hole and were just as pleased after she scored a birdie. As 20 years old, the Smith Falls, Ontario native began the day at 12 under-par and in the hunt for the lead and championship.<\/p>\n

Henderson said she felt she hit the ball well and made birdies when given the chance. She added,<\/p>\n

” “I feel like I made the most of today\u2019s round, which is always a great feeling. To be close to the top of the leaderboard heading into the weekend is awesome, especially when you\u2019re here in Canada.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Henderson performed well in the first round and repeated that on Saturday. She was solid in her short game and worked the wind as it picked up, and she made full use of her impressive length. It was Amy Yang who first moved into the top position after shooting 13 under-par and 65 for the day. This put both Henderson and Angel Yin in second place.<\/p>\n

Commenting on her round two performance, Yang said,<\/p>\n

“”I was hitting it pretty solid out there, but I gave myself a lot of good chances and I think I made most of them out there.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
