The loss marks the end of an extended road trip which saw the Senators drop their last five games. During the span of these last five games, the team has only scored five goals in total, while averaging four goals allowed per game.<\/p>\n

The first period of the Buffalo Sabers<\/a> game saw no scoring as both teams could not seem to get in the groove right away. That all changed in the second period when the Sabers where able to score three straight goals against the Senator\u2019s struggling goaltender Mike Cordon<\/strong>. Senator\u2019s center Derrick Brassad<\/strong> helped salvage some pride after he was able to score with help from Cody Ceci<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He scored during the third period to make the score at the time 3-1<\/em>. The Senators were able to score again late in the third and after pulling Cordon for an extra attacker. The 3-2<\/em> loss to the Sabers is another embarrassing defeat for the Senators who are running out of time to turn their season around.<\/p>\n
