The game took place at the BMO field and Toronto FC put up a stellar performance and outplayed Seattle throughout the game. They finished with a 2-0 scoreline and the Reds were thrilled in becoming the first Canadian team to get their hands on the Philip F. Anschutz Trophy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

While soccer is not as popular as the NHL<\/a> or the NBA<\/strong>, Toronto FC has built a strong fan base throughout Canada and is very popular in Toronto. The city of Toronto was thrilled to see their team pull of a magnificent victory and give them another reason to celebrate. Toronto also celebrated towards the end of November when the Toronto Argonauts won the Grey Cup at the CFL<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Toronto FC had a wonderful homecoming as the team boarded a double decker bus to cruise the streets and have a victory parade. Thousands of fans took to the streets in Toronto to wearing red to welcome their team and showed their support to the Reds by braving the cold, waving flags and chanting.<\/p>\n
