Points off turnovers were tied at 11, while Senegal narrowly led bench scoring 31-29.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result gives Canada an important opening victory before its next group-stage challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Canada will have Tuesday off before returning to action Wednesday against the Philippines.
