After being heavily outshot through two periods, the Swiss pushed back in the third. A turnover behind the Canadian net led to a goal by Enzler, cutting the lead in half and making things tense late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Swiss pulled their goalie in the final minutes, hoping to force overtime, but a late penalty against Ivana Wey ended that opportunity. Canada held on from there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Goaltender <strong>Ann-Ren\u00e9e Desbiens<\/strong> had a quiet night compared to her counterpart, finishing with seven saves. Braendli, meanwhile, was outstanding despite the loss, stopping 43 shots and keeping her team in the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"taylor-heise-its-the-gold-medal-game\">Taylor Heise: \u201cIt\u2019s the Gold Medal Game\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The United States earned its spot in the final with a dominant 5-0 win over Sweden and has been overwhelming throughout the tournament.
